The Social media of HuffPost

There is no doubt that we cannot ignore the role of social media in the empire of a liberal press. I did the observation for months on the Huffpost’s Twitter, Facebook and Youtube channel, to find out how they expand their influence using those booming media platforms. Facebook, Twitter, Ins, Youtube, tumblr, periscope, there is nowhere online you cannot find Huffpost’s voice.

Like the most of other news website, it sees the major politicians and government agency’s official twitter accounts as its major targets of observation. Trump’s twitters add such a significant sauce to its politics column. How the people on the Twitter reacts to the hot topics is the major themes of Huffpost’s articles for such a long time. The most of Huffpost’s tweets is reposting its online articles and did a major promotion on its original video content. I think HuffPost did realize the magic power of telling a good joke on the social media and how well can the visual content catch people’s attention online.

Their original youtube channel is it’s another distinguishing feature. Because they aim to be a better listener and build trust with the readers. They tried to bring the audience on the screen as its guests through Youtube. It is the Huffington Post Live, HuffPost’s streaming video network, which brings the HuffPo community to a video stream near you. It’s streaming service works for 8 hours each weekday, which maintains the fast pace of Huffpost’s production just like its news updating.

They strongly believes that content has more value if it’s inherently connected to social. There are 81 million social actions every month, with 800,000 Twitter referrals and 2 million Facebook referrals every day. They did an extraordinary job on giving their advantages into play under the era of social media.
