The Conclusion of HuffPost

After a whole semester’s observation of Huffpost, I see this liberal website indeed a terrific news substitute for younger generation and the people who seek for the humorous deconstruction of traditional news. It provides the most trendy and various ways of telling the stories. The social Media is their prime tool to feed the latest public reactions to the news. Trump’s twitter obviously became the fertile news resources. Most of its original opinion pieces on politics is more like a way of daily entertaining. It owns multiple international branches worldwide, gradually forming an international news aggregation. I do appreciate their style of news reporting, bringing new dynamic under the new media era. Their Huffpost Live on Youtube helps Huffpost make their successful stand in the booming live streaming industry, broadening their influence worldwide. Many new rising media (ex Vice) emphasizes their own style of reporting, the creativity, instead of competing their hard-core news to those news magnates. They choose to “blog’ or “live stream” their content and rely on news magnates like AP for their daily reporting. I think it is wise that Huffpost avoids the impossible competition and keep on going with their creativity in the field where attracts much younger and fresh blood. The Huff style of storytelling ultimately will have a deep influence on its audience’s insights on the tides of the history.
